Q. When will the clinic open?
A. The onsite employee health clinic is scheduled to open on Friday, Dec. 4.

Q. Where is the clinic located?
A. The onsite employee health clinic will be located on the ground floor at 10176
Corporate Square Dr. on the Corporate Lake campus in St. Louis.

Q. Which employees are eligible to use the clinic?
A. All SSM Health employees (full-time, part-time and PRN).

Q. Are family members of employees eligible to use the clinic?
A. No, not at this time.

Q. Do I need to be covered under an SSM Health medical plan to use the clinic?
A. No. All employees are eligible to use this clinic, regardless of medical plan coverage.

Q. Is there a fee to use the clinic?
A. Yes. There will be a $10 fee (credit card only) per visit. Insurance is not required, and
co-payments will not apply.

Q. What are the clinic hours?
A. The clinic will be open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Q. Will I see a physician when I visit the clinic?
A. No. The clinic will be staffed by a nurse practitioner, who is supervised by a
physician.

Q. What illnesses, injuries and conditions will the clinic treat?
A. The clinic can be used to treat:
• Illness, aches and pains: Seasonal allergies; asthma; bladder and UTI infections;
sinus infections; sore and strep throat; cold and cough; upper respiratory infections;
fever and flu; nausea and vomiting; headaches and migraines; aches and pains;
minor back pain; eye infections and sties; earache, ear infection and ear wax
removal;

• Minor injuries: minor burns, corneal (eye) abrasions, minor cut and wound closure
with skin adhesive, tetanus vaccines for injuries;

• Skin conditions: Mouth and cold sores, rashes, ringworms, skin infection and
irritations, and tick and insect bites and stings.

Q. Will the clinic offer any preventive services?
A. Yes. The clinic will offer the following preventive services: flu vaccines; blood
pressure screening; diabetes and cholesterol screenings and educational resources;
and overall health screening and health risk assessments.

Q. Will the clinic offer imaging services?
A. No, the clinic will not offer imaging services. If an employee requires imaging, they
will be referred to the nearest SSM Health hospital or urgent care.

Q. Will I need an appointment to visit the clinic?
A. No. An appointment is not required; walk-ins will be welcome. Or, beginning Dec. 4,
you will be able to schedule an appointment by:
• visiting ssmhealthatwork.com and clicking on the “For SSM Health Employees” tab;
• clicking the “SSM Health at Work” grey button on the right-hand column of your
intranet homepage; or
• calling 989-3200.

Q. Will SSM Health at Work be opening additional employee health clinics in
other regions?

A. We are piloting the onsite clinic in St. Louis and will be exploring opportunities to
add more onsite health clinics in our other regions. We will keep you updated with
additional information as it develops.

Q. Should I visit the onsite health clinic instead of seeing my primary care
physician?
A. No. The clinic is not designed to replace regular visits with a primary care physician
for disease management or to treat chronic conditions. It is intended to provide
another affordable and convenient option for employees to access care when and
where they need it. The clinic provider on staff will refer employees with more
complex issues and conditions to their primary care physician.

Q. Should I use the clinic for work-related injuries or if I’m injured while at work?
A. No. Please contact your workers’ compensation coordinator at 314-908-0043 for any
work-related injuries. For emergent or life threatening injuries, please go to the
nearest emergency room, and then notify your workers’ compensation coordinator.

Q. What other amenities will the clinic offer?
A. As an added benefit, the facility will offer a complimentary gym with 24/7 employee ID
badge access that individuals can use to meet their personal health goals. There will
also be a licensed massage therapist on site, with services available for an additional
cost.

Q. Can I use the clinic during a scheduled shift?
A: Yes. You can use the clinic during a scheduled shift; however, you will need to clock
out or use your unpaid lunch period. You should also make arrangements with your
supervisor to cover your shift.
